  1. This poem is as delightful as that Bacharach confection — and with a jelly-filled center of existential dread to boot! Gee whiz! That’s tasty!

    Also, in thinking of the 1958 film, I’m reminded of that final exchange between Steve McQueen and the Lieutenant. “At least we’ve got it stopped.” “Yeah, as long as the Arctic stays cold.” It seems the question mark after “The End” was more apt than I’d thought.
